Boots Wins Euro Warm Up!
Elliott Boots reignited his campaign for that elusive first European Championship win, taking the victory this weekend at the warm up event at the Ongaroring in Sacile Italy, the British Kyosho man’s a very impressive 2 laps, from the resurgent Yannick Aigoin – leading home a trio of XRAYs – it seems Yannick is another one 2015′s ‘comeback kids’, Miguel Matias claiming third a few seconds behind.
TQ man Davide Ongaro could only manage 5th, whilst JQ Racing’s Jeremy Kortz overcame a sluggish qualifying to make it to the main, a cameo appearance in 9th, Robert Batlle & Marco Baruffolo retiring early due to problems. Batlle saying, “Bad luck yesterday in the main of euro warmup! After a difficult start losing half a lap, I could bump up to the first spot when in a pit stop the fuel gun throw out too much fuel so we flamed out, I bumped up to the second spot again until 3 minutes to go when the battery decided to stop and we had to retire”
